The sale spotlights a pair of English George III Wedgwood and gilt bronze girandole candelabras attributed to Parker & Perry, ornamented in crystal swags and drops, each with four arms over four-sided bases inset with jasperware plaques and raised on ball feet. This girandole design was patented by famed chandelier maker Sir William Parker in 1781. A similar pair is located in the king’s bed chamber at Windsor Castle.

Also featured is an early 20th century Louis XV-style gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock with chinoiserie motifs. The piece includes two figures holding parasols and sitting atop a cushion above a bamboo howdah housing a white clock dial with Roman and Arabic numerals. The piece is after a model by Henri-Charles Balthazar (French, 18th century), based on the original design by Ismail al-Jazari (1136-1206).

Additional important lots include a Rolex 18K yellow gold Day-Date wristwatch (serial number marked on case reverse: 7436145 and reference number marked on case reverse: 19018) and a French three-piece silvered bronze figural garniture set cast by Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, signed “Carrier” and mounted on an onyx plinth with clock signed to dial “Lemerle-Charpentier Bronzier Paris Rue Charlot 8.” The central sculpture depicts Hebe and the eagle of Jupiter. The piece is accompanied by a pair of Neoclassical- style figural candelabra torchieres, circa 1859. Additional interesting lots include an antique Spanish replica life-size suit of armor and an ornately decorated antique English Victorian silver-plate serving trolley with a domed lid.

Fine furniture selections on Jan. 3 include a Steinway Model M baby grand piano (serial number: 465609) manufactured in 1979. The walnut case is made in the Chippendale style with cabriole legs terminating in ball-and-claw feet. The sale includes a late 19th century ornate French Rococo Revival giltwood settee or canape with a triple c-scroll framed backrest surmounted by carved Chinoiserie fantasy figures.

Furniture continues with a two lots of 19th century Regency style carved mahogany console table each with acanthus and dart motif carved edges and curved reeded supports. Next is a late 18th century Louis XVI marquise, attributed to Jean Avisse (French, 1723-after 1796, maître 1745). The bergère armchair has a carved and paint-decorated beechwood frame around the needlepoint upholstery secured with brass nailheads and passementerie trim. “Needlepoint pieces were a signature for Sister Parish making this chair from Bregman’s Park Avenue apartment extra special,” said Showplace owner Amos Balaish.

A unique collection of lighting is featured on Jan. 3 including a late 19th century French belle epoque bronze and crystal eight-arm chandelier with ram’s heads at the top over decorative crystal strands. Next is a late 19th century Louis XV-style gilt bronze mounted white marble urn, mounted as a lamp, with scrolling acanthus and laurel leaf details and swags of berry garlands above a square pedestal and inscribed on base edge “Eug. Bazart, Paris.”

Silver seekers will find a lot of interesting lots including a 211-piece Gorham King Albert pattern sterling silver flatware, a Loring Andrews Co. (Cincinnati, Ohio) sterling silver centerpiece bowl and a group of 16 assorted serving pieces in the Gorham “King Albert” pattern.
