NEW YORK – Capo Auction Fine Art and Antiques will present their mid-summer auction on Saturday, July 22, at 11 a.m., offering mid-century modern and other furniture including a Mies van der Rohe daybed, some unusual contemporary and fine art, along with a wide range of decorative items. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

In the art arena this month, Capo will feature a signed Charles Levier (French, 1920-2003) oil painting (above) titled Dans La Rue and a Robert Smirke (English, 1752 – 1845) oil on canvas titled Just Married (below).

Highlighting the furniture department is a Ludwig Mies van der Rohe daybed by Knoll (below) and a set of nine Chippendale-style mahogany dining chairs (estimated value: $600-$800).

A selection of decorative items include a French cut glass cave a liqueur containing a cut glass decanter and six glasses and an Art Nouveau picture frame having a bronze finish decorated with a female figure, a Bacchus mask and flowers, (estimated value: $400-$600).

A 3 3/4-inch-high Ying Chinz porcelain vase, Qing dynasty and marked on the bottom, is also available to the highest bidder.

In jewelry, a pair of Russian gold cuff links marked 56 and AH is decorated with the Imperial Crown of Russia and accented with a ruby cabochon and a row of rose cut diamonds (estimated value $ 600-$800).

A Block Langenthal porcelain dinner service in the Transition white pattern in the auction numbers approximately 125 pieces and including 17 dinner plates (estimated value $400- 600).
