Fine decorative arts abound in Vidi Vici Gallery auction July 10
SAN FRANCISCO – Vidi Vici Gallery will conduct an auction of curated estate items on Tuesday, July 10. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.
This eclectic auction features more than 1,200 lots of antiques and collectibles, including many examples of pottery, such as a scare faience footed bowl (above) made around the turn of the 20th century by Ulysse Bresnard in Blois, Loire Valley, France, or a meticulously decorated Aesthetic studio pottery bowl signed “C. Wright, Eureka, Cal.”
Art Deco furnishings are highlighted by an 8-inch crystal vase accented with touches of black enamel.
Contemporary collectibles include two soup plates, each decorated with a monkey and tiger, from Lynn Chase Designs Inc., signed by the designer and dated 1996.
An Italian glazed terra-cotta bust of a noble Roman is a formidable figure at 29½ inches high.
