NEW YORK – A brilliant array of fine jewelry as well as loose gemstones will be presented in a Jasper52 online auction on Sunday, Oct. 15. Vintage diamond rings in gold and platinum top the more than 200 lots offered in the catalog, together with a selection of contemporary designer pieces. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.
The top lot in the auction may well be a vintage emerald necklace – 12.40 carats total weight – in 18K yellow gold. The 16¾-inch necklace (above) is estimated at $10,000-$11,000.
More than 3 carats of fine, white diamonds cover a pair of 18K yellow and white gold earrings by Leo Pizzo of Milan, Italy. In near-mint condition, the earrings (below) are estimated at $2,800-$3,000.
A platinum three-stone diamond ring from the mid-20th century is accented by 32 smaller diamonds, 3 carats total weight. The center diamond, which is .80 carat, is flanked by .75-carat diamonds, all H/I color and VS2 clarity. This American-made ring has a $4,500-$5,000 estimate.
Fifty-nine full-cut diamonds comprise a playful fish ring of 14K yellow and white gold. An emerald forms the eye of the fish on this wrap-around ring, which is estimated at $575-$650.
From Tiffany & Co. comes a 1930s bracelet, from which hangs a weighted four-leaf clover charm, both in 14K gold. Both the bracelet and the 1½-inch lucky charm are marked Tiffany & Co. (est. $2,200-$2,400).
Another beautiful bracelet is adorned with nearly 12 carats of genuine tanzanite. The metal is platinum over sterling silver (est. $400-$500).
The auction will get underway Sunday, Oct. 15, at 4 p.m. Eastern time.
