BROOKLYN, N.Y. – SJ Auctioneers will bid farewell to 2022 with an online-only auction of 271 lots of jewelry, paperweights, glass art vases, tin collectible toys and trains, silverware, designer scarves and more. The sale will take place on Sunday, December 11, starting at 4 pm Eastern time. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

Several of the auction’s expected top lots are from the silverware category, such as the 72-piece Reed & Barton sterling flatware set in the Francis the 1st pattern, in excellent pre-owned condition and with box, estimated at $3,500-$8,000; and the circa-1850-1890 Gorham sterling silver and copper jardiniere vase with applied three-dimensional strawberry plant and spider motifs, estimated at $2,500-$5,000.

Also offered will be a pair of circa-1950-1960 Spanish silver pheasant table decorations with dark ruby glass eyes, which has an estimate of $1,000-$2,500.

The toy train selection will include a circa-1959-1960 S gauge American Flyer 20535 S Pony Express passenger set, including a powered diesel, a non-powered diesel and four passenger cars, estimated at $2,000-$6,000; and a pre-World War II O-gauge Karl Bub tin litho wind-up freight train set #815, estimated at $300-$5,000.

Also featured is a beautiful group of designer silk scarves, each offered as an individual lot with an estimate of $350-$500. These include a Cartier teal blue scarf, a Patek Philippe teal blue scarf and a Chanel scarf with an ocean cruise theme, all made in Italy.

Another collective standout is a group of handmade, visually arresting tree sculptures that showcase natural gems. These include a large, 15-branch amethyst-clustered gemstone tree on clear quartz with a faux tree trunk, estimated at $250-$500; and a tree of life graced with clear quartz-clustered branches on a rose quartz base and bearing the same estimate.
