CHICAGO – On April 13, Hindman Auctions will present Important Timepieces from a Private Collector, featuring a timepiece collection from Mr. Del Pelton. An enthusiast of unique timepieces, Pelton built a collection that spans almost four centuries of watchmaking expertise from makers such as Patek Philippe, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Vacheron Constantin, F.P. Journe, and Parmigiani Fleurier, among many other respected watchmakers from Switzerland, Germany, France and England. The auction also includes an extensive pocket watch selection that boasts many advanced complications such as the Haas moon phase perpetual calendar chronograph. The auction includes stunning antique and modern timepieces such as a Patek Philippe Ref. 5036/1J-001 wristwatch estimated at $20,000-$30,000, and a Ulysse Nardin ‘Sonata Cathedral’ wristwatch estimated at $18,000-$28,000. A Vacheron Constantin ‘Toledo’ wristwatch, carrying an estimate of $18,000-$28,000, is another outstanding lot that features a matte silvered dial with central fausses cotes decoration, and applied white gold pyramid and Arabic numerals.
