BIRMINGHAM, UK – Fellows’ Fine Jewelry sale will be the auction house’s first live public auction in four months and has a total value of over £1.2 million. The sale of modern, vintage, designer and rare jewelry will take place at Fellows’ Jewelry Quarter saleroom in Birmingham with viewings at both Fellows’ premises in London and Birmingham. Auctioneer and Managing Director Stephen Whittaker will dust off his gavel for the 448-lot sale, which will take place on Thursday, July 23. The auction features some of the most beautiful diamonds to ever go under the hammer at Fellows. An impressive platinum old-cut diamond single-stone ring (Lot 209), of 8.07 carats has an estimate of £90,000-£140,000 ($113,800-$177,000).
An impressive platinum old-cut pear-shape diamond single-stone ring (Lot 208), of 5.28 carats has an estimate of £80,000-£120,000 ($101,200-$151,800). There are many fabulous designer delights, with renowned jewelry brands including Cartier, Tiffany & Co. and Van Cleef & Arpels featuring heavily.
The sale also includes:
– Lot 1 – A Burmese ruby dress ring, with brilliant-cut diamond floral shoulders and gallery. Estimate: £600-£800 ($760-$1,000).
– Lot 90 – A diamond “Love” bangle by Cartier. Estimate: £4,000-£6,000 ($5,600-$7,500).
– Lot 244 – A pair of 18K gold brilliant-cut and pear-shape diamond cluster articulated earrings. Estimate: £4,000-£6,000 ($5,600-$7,500).
– Lot 317 – A mid-20th century ruby and diamond floral brooch. Estimate: £1,800-£2,400 ($2,275-$3,035).
