JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Kimball M. Sterling Inc. will present the Aesthetic Art and Architecture of the Cane Auction: A Private Collection on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. Eastern. The auction will consist of over 125 world-class canes and walking sticks. LiveAuctioneers will provide Internet live bidding.

The collection consists of ivory, porcelain, erotic, nautical, silver, gold, folk-art and system sticks. Art Deco, Art Nouveau and many other time periods are represented in the offerings. There is a fine group of canine canes representing many different breeds as well as a group of cat canes. In porcelain the collection has Meissen, KPM and French paste. The canes range in age from the mid-18th to the 20th centuries.

There are premiere sword canes in the group that would match those in the finest collections. A fine presentation of nautical ivory, sterling silver dress and Asian ivory is also included. The art of collecting canes has many crossovers to all field of collecting.
