NEW YORK – Nearly 150 lots of precious loose gemstones and diamonds worthy of a ring, necklace or even a crown are available in a Jasper52 online auction July 5. This auction showcases magnificent jewels in a variety of cuts and colors, from GIA fancy diamonds to glowing Zambian emeralds. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.
The crowning piece in the auction is a spectacular 1.01 carat natural fancy intense pink pear-shape modified brilliant diamond (above), which is expected to sell for upward of $180,000.
A 0.70 carat fancy vivid yellow cushion-shape diamond is crafted and polished an Angola rough stone, one of the best sources of natural color diamonds. This certified diamond (below) has a special inscription by the De Beers on the table of the stone that cannot be copied. The De Beers inscription does not affect the clarity of the diamond, which is rated SI1 (est. $5,500-$7,000).
An HRD certified 2.17 carat diamond is perfect for a solitaire setting. Color rated White G and VS2 in clarity, this round stone is estimated at $30,000-$36,000.
More than a dozen natural emeralds are offered in the auction, including a 4.24 carat specimen exhibiting type 3 clarity: eye and loupe clean (est. $2,500-$3,000).
Paraiba tourmalines have become one of the sought-after gemstones in the world. First discovered in the 1980s in the Brazilian state of Paraiba, these brilliantly colored stones exhibit a neon-bright blue-green that has an incandescent glow that appears to light up the stone from within. A handful of natural Paraiba tourmalines are offered in the Jasper52 auction including one weighing 7.47 carats (est. $7,000-$8,000).
The auction also offers a selection of gemstones having low estimates of less than $1,000. A fine example is a 1.46 carat natural pink sapphire in a faceted oval cut (est. $550-$700).
The Jasper52 Premium Certified Diamonds & Gemstones Auctions will begin Thursday, July 4, at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
