One of the finest rings in the sale features a GIA-certified 3.44 carat natural fancy yellow diamond as the center stone, which is flanked by two large trapezoid-shaped diamonds totaling 1.20 carats. The diamonds are F-G color, VS2-SI1 clarity overall and contrast nicely with the platinum setting. It is expected to sell for $55,000-$66,000.
Among the top lots in the auction is a GIA-certified diamond ring having a near flawless 5.50 carat pear-shaped diamond as the center stone, which is supported by smaller pear-shaped diamonds adding another half carat. The ring was made in the second quarter of the 20th century yet shows very little wear to the platinum setting. The center diamond is in great condition with no wear to the girdle. This ring has been professionally cleaned and polished and is ready to wear (est. $81,000-$97,000).
Contemporary selections include a colorful lace bracelet handmade in 14K gold and sterling silver and set in 21.42 carats of sapphires and 16.53 carats of diamonds. The bracelet measures 47mm by 51mm (est. $32,000-$38,000).
Another new bracelet is an 18K gold panther bangle that has 6.00 carats of diamonds and natural rubies for the eyes (est. $16,000-$19,000).
An authentic Luca Carati diamond pendant and earrings set in 18K white gold has a $2,000-$2,500 estimate. The pendant contains six white and fiery diamonds are VVS2 clarity and G color. The earrings measure 15mm square and equipped with long posts and butterfly backings. Each earring has five diamonds of the same quality.
