Jasper52 offers treasured Judaic art April 21

NEW YORK – Jasper52 will explore the world of Jewish art and culture with an online auction of Judaica on Tuesday, April 21. The auction consists of 65 lots of objects and images that are important to the Jewish people. Bid absentee or live online exclusively through LiveAuctioneers.
A hanukkiah is a nine-branched candelabrum that is lit during the eight-day holiday of Hanukka. A sterling silver hanukkiah (above) offered in the auction is dated and signed: “1936 Birmingham England.” Weighing 8.4 ounces, it carries a $350-$400 estimate.
Bells and eagles adorn a pair of 19th century Austrian sterling silver Torah finials. They measure 10½ inches high and are marked “Sterling 835” (est. $2,000-$2,500).

Kiddush is a blessing recited over wine or grape juice to sanctify the Shabbat and Jewish holidays. The drink is held in a Kiddush cup, a stemmed vessel of gold or silver. A large 19th century Russian Kiddush cup offered in the auction is sterling silver (est. $1,500-$2,000).
