NEW YORK – “The joy of dressing is an art,” said British fashion designer John Galliano. A Jasper52 online auction on Wednesday, April 1, will bring some joy into your closet with timeless designer fashion and accessories. Four out of five lots in the auction constitute bags, purses and totes by the likes of Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Channel, Gucci and Fendi. The oversized Birkin bag quickly became a fashion status symbol for women, including celebrities and socialites, after Hermès introduced the line in 1984. The lone Birkin bag in the auction is the popular 35mm size in blue leather. This scare handbag carries a $13,000-$16,000 estimate.
Another classic is the Louis Vuitton New Wave model in white leather, which is expected to sell for $2,000-$2,500.

Also from Hermès is one of its Constance H belts in black leather with a gold-tone buckle in its original box (est. $700-$800).
