Jeffrey Evans to host fall EAPG auction Sept. 25-26

MOUNT CRAWFORD, Va. – Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates 26th annual EAPG auction on Sept. 25-26 will contain the firm’s expected wide selection of 19th and 20th century pressed glass including many flint and nonflint forms and articles. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.

Friday’s session, beginning at 9:30 a.m. EDT, features the outstanding goblet collection of Joseph Greene of Glastonbury, Conn., and consists of over 3,000 flint and nonflint examples with many unlisted examples included. The session will also include selections of opaque glass such as a Greentown Fighting Cocks chocolate covered dish, and many pressed novelty items, being led by a rare frosted colorless Jumbo covered fruit bowl.

Saturday’s session beginning at 9:30 a.m., includes part two of the collection of the late Alexander Hierholzer (Holt) and features an important Canary Sandwich Star open compote with a Triple-Dolphin stem, which is potentially unique.

The sale also features the jam/marmalade jar collection of Charles F. Phelps of Spring, Texas, and the Thousand Eye/Sensational (OMN) collection of Haileta Willing, Gig Harbor, Wash.

There will be in-house bidding and in-house preview available for the September sessions – including an uncataloged session that will open the event on Thursday, Sept. 24, at the firm’s gallery located at 2177 Green Valley Lane, in Mount Crawford.
