MT. CRAWFORD, Va. – Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates will conduct a special holiday auction on Dec. 3 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Eastern. The sale will feature the Shirley Reed estate collection of children’s toy dishes along with antique and vintage dolls from the Bedrooms of America Museum in New Market, Va. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.com.

The Reed collection consists of a wide range of glass and ceramic children’s dishes. The ceramics category will include early 19th century English transfer-decorated pearlware, Victorian German porcelain wares decorated with Christmas and animal themes, and 20th century Japanese china sets including Mickey Mouse and other characters. Glass offerings range from circa 1835 Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. products in a wide range of patterns and colors to Early American Pattern Glass sets, and depression era wares including Akro Agate.

A good selection of antique bisque-head dolls will also be on offer including French fashion and many German examples highlighted by rare Asian and Native American genre dolls. In addition, the sale will include vintage 20th century dolls, children’s furniture, and accessories.
