CRAWFORD, Va. – Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates will conduct an auction of 19th- and 20th-century glass and lighting on July 27 and 28 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day. The sale will contain over 1,400 lots. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

Friday’s session will feature the outstanding kerosene lighting collection of the late Thomas R. Golden of Wilmington, Del.; material from the Culver Collection, Tom and Michael Andrews of Berlin, Md. (part 1); plus others.

This session contains rare early kerosene lighting including four marriage lamps, marbrie loops, latticinos, cut overlays, and reed ovals; Victorian opalescent including examples with matching chimneys and finger lamps; rare figural stand and finger lamps; miniature lamps; large selection of hanging lamps including rare “end of day” bull’s-eye shade library lamps; many good parlor and piano lamps; lot of good parts including shades, burners and chimneys.

Session two will feature the Greentown glass collection of Joyce Freed of Chester, Va.; selections from the collection of Patricia and the late Robert “Bob” Costa of Deland, Fla.; and collections from Bel Air, Md., and Raleigh, N.C.

The auction will also include a large selection of Victorian glass of all types including collections of syrups, cruets, glass baskets and tumblers; Mount Washington Burmese and other art glass; cut glass; a collection of milk glass including a Boar’s Head covered dish; and a collection of Cambridge Crown Tuscan.
