JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Canes and walking sticks owned by blues-rock legend Johnny Winter will be sold at auction on March 26 by Kimball M. Sterling Inc.

The collection consists of rare and unique antique and folk art canes. Some of the canes have appeared on classic album covers and in famous photos of Johnny Winter alongside the likes Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker B.B. King and many more.

Some of the canes were especially made for Johnny Winter. Others are antiques more than 100 years old, including dress canes and folk art canes that the late guitarist collected for years. An unusual example is an antique sword cane with a push-and-lock mechanism.
