Kamelot to host Garden and Architectural sales, May 11 and 17
PHILADELPHIA – On Wednesday, May 11, Kamelot Auctions will hold its annual Garden Sale, followed soon after by an Architectural Sale on Tuesday, May 17. These two auctions will showcase garden, patio and architectural antiques that are sure to capture the spirit and style of any space. Highlights of the May 11 Garden Sale include a set of six French iron spring chairs with multi-colored paint. A charming pair of 19th-century English terracotta planters resting on a modern pair of terracotta pedestals will add grandeur to an entryway or garden space. The pair are estimated at $600-$900. If you seek a modern aesthetic, have a look at Lot 1296, a set of four circa-1970 Willy Guhl square-cast stone planters. Reminiscent of small Richard Serra sculptures, these planters will make a minimalist and artistic addition to your space. They have an estimate of $1,000-$1,500.
Kamelot’s May 17 Architecture sale presents a selection of stunning doors, windows and mantles. A trio of Gothic-style iron windows with hinged panels will let in the summer light. This unique piece, which is sure to set your home apart, is estimated at $700-$900. Also of note is a sink cabinet in the form of a Louis XV-style marble top dresser, estimated at $600-$900.
