Kamelot to wrap October with three days of outstanding sales
PHILADELPHIA – Kamelot Auctions will hold three days of sales in late October: French, Italian and American Modern furniture, lighting, and decorative arts on October 26; an interiors sale on October 27; and a continental and Victorian sale on October 28. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.
The October 26 from a signed William H. Bailey painting titled Still Life Terontola, estimated at $20,000-$30,000, to Jean-Pierre Cassignueul’s oil on canvas At the Races, estimated at $20,000-$40,000.
Furniture selections offered on the first sale day include a circa-1960 birdseye maple four-drawer dresser, estimated at $1,000-$1,500, and a circa-1950 four-door, four-drawer sideboard fashioned from birdseye maple, ribbon mahogany, and burled walnut, and estimated at $1,200-$1,500.
Leading lots in the October 27 interior sale include a circa-1930 three-piece French marble Art Deco desk set, estimated at $300-$500, and a pair of circa-1920 Art Deco silvered plated metal skyscraper vases, estimated at $200-$300.
Those seeking to deck out a tropical abode could avail themselves of a circa-1960 wicker and iron glass top table, estimated at $500-$800, and a pair of pencil reed rattan chairs estimated at $600-$800.
Treasures in the October 28 session include a Victorian brass chandelier with opalescent swirl shades, estimated at $300-$500, and an 1870 Eastlake mirror that carries the same estimate.
