CLINTONDALE, N.Y. – Highlighting Kensington Estate Auctions’ Sept. 18 online sale will be 18th-20th-century objets d’art including a Louis C. Tiffany Furnaces calendar frame #356, a Tiffany Studios gilt bronze grapevine inkwell #845, a Heintz Art sterling silver/bronze desk set, a French escargot desk light sculpture, a Howell James & Co. Arts & Crafts desk set, Victorian figural napkin rings, bronze sculptures, a Birmingham sterling dresser set and other sterling silver objects. Absentee and Internet bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

Paintings, woodcuts, lithographs and etchings will include the Turkish modernist painter Erol Akyavas (below) and Haitian artists Sylva Joseph and Tiga (Jean-Claude Garoute). Other artists whose works are in the auction catalog include Robinson Boardman, Norman Barr, Leonard Baskin, Bernard Buffet, Jean Dufy, Max Beckmann and Oskar Kokoschka.

A collection of early Japanese woodblocks including Keisai Eisen’s Courtesan With Attendant will be sold.

Kensington’s urban, graffiti, pop, outsider, surrealist and mid-century art and sculpture category will include works by LA Ii (Angel Ortiz), Andy Warhol and other modernist artists.

Collectors will be interested in the Native American collection including early fine woven baskets, and a Northwest Coast mask carved by Barry Scow (below). In addition, an assortment of African Tanzanian (TingaTinga) wildlife oil paintings will be sold.

Not to be overlooked are two 19th-century Indian buckler battle shields, opium pipes, early pottery vessels, Persian containers, a carved prow figurehead (below) and jade.

There are also opportunities for antiquarian collectors from the 18th and 19th centuries.
