Kensington Estate Auctions presents diverse artworks April 18
CLINTONDALE, N.Y. – Kensington Estate Auctions’ April 18 sale will consist of a diverse art collection, from the Amazonian Jungle to the illustration art from MGM’s How The West Was Won by Gene Johnson.
This multifocused auction will span continents and time lines.
LiveAuctioneers.com will facilitate absentee and Internet live bidding. The auction will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern.
Mid-century and abstract art will be highlighted by American Bill Parker (above) and the Chinese artist Gerard D’a Henderson.
Of interest will be John Baldessari’s homoerotic photo-collage on 8 tiles (below) and an original locomotive oil painting by Hugh Murton Le Fleming, the image of which can be seen in the International Locomotive Book, plate 63.

Several American Indian vessels, an Inuit stone carving by the renowned carver Tasseror Tutsweetok (below) and a 19th century ship’s carved figurehead will be offered.
A unique highlight is a historic collection of handwritten letters between the pulp author Robert W. Sneddon and other literary figures of the early 20th century including Bory Oso, Fulton Oursler and John Yeats.
