DANIA BEACH, Fla. – September 2016 marks the 110th anniversary of Kodner Galleries, and to celebrate the occasion the auction company will present an auction Sept. 21 worthy of the milestone.

Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.com.

Founded in 1906 in Chicago by Al Kodner, the business was relocated to Florida in the mid 1970s. Once a small local auction house in the antiques district of Dania, Kodner has grown to become a leading gallery in the busy south Florida auction market.

Russ Kodner, president, carries on the family tradition into the fifth generation at Kodner Galleries.

The past several years have brought many changes to Kodner including significant growth of gallery space and staff, and a new front-line website (kodner.com). Kodner auctions typically feature a varied mix of quality fine art, antiques, mid-century decoration and fine jewelry.

Kodner Galleries’ 110th anniversary coincides with the traditional start of the fall auction season in south Florida and will be marked by an exceptional sale on Wednesday, Sept. 21, with select items gathered over the past six months in anticipation of this milestone in Kodner history.

The auction will offer a million-dollar selection of fine jewelry and a 100-piece collection of Fabergé and Russian objets de vertu.

Additional highlights of the September anniversary sale will include a circa 1900 Tiffany & Co. French gilt bronze and Sèvres porcelain lyre clock and garniture (above), a Vasily Yalovich Grachev (Russian 1831-1905) bronze sculpture (below), a monumental 19th century carved oak armoire reported to have been made for the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia, and an Ilya Yefimovich Repi (Russian, 1844-1930) oil on canvas nude.
