LANTANA, Fla. – M G Neely Auction invites customers to attend their Veteran’s Day Palm Beach Antique to Modern Estate Auction. An array of decorative furnishings, jewelry and artwork will be auctioned Nov. 11 at noon. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

A vintage “Marriage Whirl” scroll-form coffee table (above) by father-son design duo Philip and Kelvin LaVerne featuring wedding celebrations by a riverbank will be auctioned. The unique patina synonymous with the designers was achieved by burying their pieces in a proprietary mix of soil and chemicals.

Other mid-century modern designers in the sale include Maitland Smith, Rougier, Bauer, Niels Jensen, Camer, Tommaso Barbi, Chapman and more.

Neely Auction has a variety of artwork to fit any wall. A gouache painting of a poppy by Vietnamese artist Vu Cao Dam is signed with a personal note to Simone Karoff of Wally-Findlay Galleries of Palm Beach.

Painters whose works are in the Nov. 11 auction include Anthony Caro, Bill Keene, Marc Chagall, J. William Johnson, Andrew Way, Mimi Korach Lesser and more.

A variety of estate jewelry, semi-precious and precious stones, antique and modern sterling silver tableware and coins will be sold at the end of the sale. A stunning bridal set consisting of a laser-inscribed 3 carat diamond solitaire set in platinum and a 14K gold and diamond ring enhancer has been gemologist certified. Sterling and jewelry makers include Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Isadora Paris, Raymond Weil, Georg Jensen, Wallace, Steiff and Buckingshire.

The sale offers 251 decorative treasures such as African and American Indian tribal art, antique stringed instruments, wooden recorders, Lucite, art glass, porcelain figures, pottery, oil lamps and more.

Art glass, pottery and sculpture are plentiful in the Veteran’s Day sale the auction, including more than 50 pieces of Roseville pottery.
