ASTI, Italy – Nova Ars continues to offer the best in 20th century design – especially the work of homegrown designers the likes of Paolo Buffa, Angelo Mangiarotti, Enzo Mari and Luigi Caccia Dominioni. Nova Ars’ online-only auction on May 26 will feature a beautiful Enzo Mari Treviri bookcase for Zanotta, which has a €1,500-€2,000 estimate.

LiveAuctioneers.com will provide absentee and Internet live bidding at this online-only auction.

The sale will include lamps, chandeliers, ceramics and glass works.

Bidding could reach €10,000 on this large chandelier by Ercole Barovier, circa 1940. Measuring more than 39 inches high, it features blown Murano glass.


Blown Murano glass elements also highlight this Venini hanging lamp from the early 1960s. It is more than 41 inches high and has a €3,000-€5,000 estimate.


A pair of elegant night tables by Paolo Buffa, having triangular legs, solid brass feet and handles, and a glass plane will sell as one lot, estimated at €1,500-€2,000. They date to the early 1950s.


This furniture lot consists of an Ico Parisi night table and writing desk-bookcase combination, produced by Brugnoli Cantu. The night table is labeled “Mobili Brugnoli, 1963.” The pair is estimated at €7,000-€8,000.
