ASTI, Italy – Nova Ars will hold another of its trademark 20th century design auctions online only on Oct. 13. Absentee and internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.com.
The lineup of nearly 120 lots features ceramic and glass items lamps, chandeliers and furniture – many designed and made in Italy.
Furniture highlights include a 1954 Tecno sofa designed by company founder Osvaldo Borsani (above) and an Angelo Mangiarotti coffee table (below) produced by Skipper around 1970.
Lighting is always a vital part of Nova Ars auctions and this month has an Arredoluce easel of chromed and varnished metal that stands 84 inches high. The floor lamp is estimated to sell for 3,500-4,000 euros.
On a whimsical note is a set of nine Alessandro Mendini corkscrews (below) manufactured by Alessi.
