BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – I.M. Chait Gallery / Auctioneers will present important Buddhist works of art including a 14th century Tibetan bronze head of Buddha at their Asian and International Fine Arts Auction on Nov. 22. LiveAuctioneers.com will provide absentee and Internet live bidding for the 500 lot auction.
Additional Asian antiques to be sold are Sino-Tibetan bronzes, carved stones and thangkas from prominent collections. On a larger scale are two antique Japanese Samurai suits of armor, along with a 17th century European suit of armor.
The auction will also feature a large collection of antiquities, including Greek, Roman and Egyptian ceramic, glass, marble and bronze artifacts from a West Coast collection.
Also from a West Coast collection comes a group of Chinese hardwood furniture including huanghuali and zitan wood.
Fine jewelry ranges from a selection of fine jadeite pieces, including pendants and cabochon rings, to unique estate jewelry from Orange County and Beverly Hills collections.
