Mid-century lighting forecast to shine at Nova Ars auction Feb. 9

ASTI, Italy – Nova Ars will present an interesting design collection of decorative arts of the 20th century – many made in Italy – at an online-only auction Feb. 9. Absentee and Internet bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

Mid-century modern lighting will be a star attraction, with many Italian hanging lamps and chandeliers being offered.

A signed Lorenzo Burchiellaro table lamp of aluminum (above) is one of the featured items. This 1960s lamp is estimated at €1,200-€1,500.

Also from the ’60s is a big “Triedro” wall lamp (below) by Venini, which is estimated at €1,200-€1,500.

Bidders have a choice of lamp designs by Tito Agnoli. His 1960s nine-light chandelier by Oluce (below) has a €1,500-€2,000 estimate.

Estimated at €800-€1,000 is a Tito Agnoli table lamp model 251, produced also by Oluce. It has a cast-iron base.
