NEW YORK – Capo Auction Fine Art and Antiques will shine the spotlight on contemporary art and unusual decorative items at their auction on Saturday, Sept. 23. The sale will offer a wide-ranging selection of fine and contemporary art, decorative pieces, silver and jewelry, along with antique and modern furniture. In the contemporary and modern art category this month, Capo will feature an Alexander Calder (American, 1898–1976) lithograph (above) titled Composition with discs and black spiral, and an unusual work by Francisco Sobrino (Spanish, 1932-2014) titled Contemporaneo I. Plexiglas (below), which measures 15 by 15 by 6 inches.

Highlighting the decorative items this month will be a Tiffany Favrile Glass gooseneck sprinkler vase having an elongated neck and its original paper label.
