DENVER, Pa. – Absentee bidding is now under way for all 677 lots in Morphy’s Wednesday, June 22nd Coin & Currency Auction. The live portion of the event will take place on auction day at the company’s spacious central Pennsylvania gallery starting at 9 a.m. Eastern time. Sale features 1,000+ graded silver dollars and 1,000 graded notes, plus Colonial, Confederate, fractional and foreign currency

The featured collection is fresh to the market and includes more than 1,000 graded silver dollars and 1,000 graded international notes. Many of the numismatic treasures in this sale have been placed into substantial group lots, some consisting of as many as 20 albums, each packed with a bonanza of coins.

Every bidder stands a chance of acquiring something wonderful at this sale, no matter what their level of collecting or particular numismatic interest may be. For example, lots featuring US paper fractional currency valued at 5 cents, 10 cents or 50 cents are entered with a modest $100-$300 estimate (each).

Many dozens of lots estimated at a lower price point of $100 to $200, $300 or $400 contain collectible foreign currency from exotic nations such as Madagascar, Mongolia or Burundi as well as world powers like Russia, France and Australia.  At the next level up, a lot containing six rolls of (689) Indian Head Cents is estimated at $500-$800, as are massive lots consisting of 150 rolls of Lincoln Cents or 84 rolls of “same date” cents.
