STOUFFVILLE, Ontario – Oakwood Auctions will conduct its Worldwide Stamp And Coin Auction on April 18 and 19. Both sessions will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern time. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

Bidders will find many incredible items have been packed into this diverse auction. With over 1,400 lots from around the world, this is truly a sale for collectors and deal hunters. From rare Canadian and United States stamps and coins, European stamps, Chinese coins and a fantastic collection of early and rare Great Britain Victorian stamps.

The auction will offer an outstanding selection of Canadian and worldwide stamps that includes such highlights as an 1857 Province of Canada 7½ Pence Green S/C #9 MLH VF (above), and an 1867 Great Britain 1 Schilling Green Imperf S/C #54 a21b VF, with catalog values of $12,000 and $5,500, both estimated to bring between $2,000-$3,000 USD.

This two-day auction has a variety of types of unique items, including a 1911 Great Britain Maundy Money coin set with its original case, a 1967 Canada specimen coin set with the $20 gold coin estimated at $800-$900, Canadian plate blocks and Chinese coins.

The sale is also packed with assorted European stamp and coin collections, Canadian advertising and first-day covers, U.S. silver dollar collections, German war medals, highlighted by a 1948 Israel MNH Tabs collection (below) estimated at $4,000-$5,000. Large collections from South America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa will also be offered.

There are many highlights including an 1875 USA Newspaper and Periodicals stamp collection, and an 1867 Canada 6 Cent S/C #27 MLH VF OG (below) estimated at $500-$650, and $1,250-$1,500 USD, respectively.
