WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Modern Auctions and Objects20C Gallery will present a curated selection of 20th-century furniture, objects and art on Thursday, July 19. The 163 lots will be displayed and auctioned at Objects20C Gallery, 5301A S. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, FL, 33405. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

The auction will open with a pair of metal and glass end tables designed by Warren Platner for Knoll (above). The tables are referenced in A Modernist Universe, Brian Lutz, pg. 166.

Lot 49, a pair of lounge chairs (below) similar to Niels Vodder’s model NV53 easy chair, show wear consistent with age and light use. An image in the listing depicts the chairs alongside a matching sofa/loveseat, which will be available in the following lot.

German-born artist Roger Herman is represented by a large abstract painting—84 by 120 inches. The work was once in the collection of Sidney Goldfarb, according to a Bonhams auction catalog from November 2004.

American artist Larry Mohr was known for creating large bronze and aluminum sculptures made of welded and bolted I-beams, two of which are featured in the auction. The larger is a 2½-foot-tall bronze work titled Bars XXIII.
