NEW YORK – An Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean chronometer similar to ones worn by secret agent 007 in James Bond movies is among the fine wristwatches that Bunda Jewelry Appraisers and Auctioneers will sell at an auction March 7 at the Belvedere Hotel, 319 W. 48th St.
The sale, which is being conducted on behalf of the district attorney’s office, New York, begins at 3 p.m. Eastern. Viewing will be Saturday 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
James Bond has been wearing Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean chronometers since 1995. The men’s watch in the auction has black dial and a $1,500-$2,000 estimate.
Other men’s watches in the sale include a stainless steel Breitling automatic chronometer with white face, made for Bentley Motors (est. $1,500-$2,000); a yellow gold Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso, 1000 Hours Control (est. 1,500-$2,000); and a stainless steel Panerai Regatta Luminor Submersible Firenze 1860 (est. $1.200-$1,500).
Ladies’ watches include an 18-karat yellow gold Cartier Tank with a green leather band and its original box (est. $1,000-$1,500).
A ladies’ white gold diamond ring consisting of a princess cut diamond totaling 1.53 carats flanked by two princess cut diamonds totaling about 1.44 carats and 48 brilliant cut diamonds around the band is expected to sell for $5,000-$6,000.
Of the hundreds of rings in the auction, many will be sold in lots of five and six items.
