LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. – Rago Arts and Auction Center will conduct auctions of 19th/20th century American and European art and postwar/contemporary art on Saturday, May 7. The sales feature works fresh to market with many significant deaccessions from important collections.

Absentee and Internet live auctions will be available through LiveAuctioneers.com.

The 19th/20th American/European art (Lots 1-160) will be sold starting at 11 a.m. Eastern.

Works by William Merritt Chase, Richard Alan Schmid, Robert Spencer, Fern Isabel Coppedge, Alphonse Mucha, M.C. Escher and Childe Hassam are featured. Also included are a number of photographs from the collection of Dorothy Norman including works by Edward Steichen, Ansel Adams and Dorothy Norman herself.

Postwar and contemporary art (lots 500-750) will be sold beginning at 1 p.m. Select highlights include works by Stephen S. Pace, Michael Goldberg, Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, Richard Diebenkorn, Louise Nevelson, Carl Andre, Jean-Michel Basquiat (below) and Raymond Pettibon.
