LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. – Rago Auctions presents a sale of fine and important jewelry on Sunday, June 10, preceded by a sale of highly desirable jewelry sold without reserve on Friday, June 8. Absentee and Internet live bidding for both auctions is available through LiveAuctioneers.
Friday’s auction, which begins at 10 a.m. Eastern Time consists of more than 500 lots of antique and modern jewelry, watches and luxury accessories sold without reserve. Highlights include; engagement and diamond rings, signed and gem-set jewelry, designer accessories and costume jewelry.
Sunday’s auction of fine and antique jewelry also starts at 10 a.m. and has a diverse 520-lot offering of fine, antique and modern jewelry including Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco designs, important signed works, substantial diamond and gemstone jewelry as well as loose gemstones, watches, accessories and objets de vertu.
This sale will present works by Buccellati, Bvlgari, Cartier, Patek Philippe, Tiffany & Co. and Verdura, among others. Highlights include a diamond and yellow gold necklace by David Webb (below), a lapis and onyx inlaid yellow gold cuff bracelet designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co. and an Art Deco “A” jade, diamond and enamel double-headed cliquet pin by Cartier.
Also noteworthy are two rare works by the great American craftswoman Marie Zimmermann: a tourmaline and multi-gem enameled yellow gold ring (below) and an enameled yellow gold and gem-set collar necklace.
