CHATHAM, N.J. – Quan Rong Gallery’s premier online Chinese art auction on Sunday, Feb. 17, will feature a section of 396 lots of Hetian jade statues, Shoushan stone figures, porcelain pots, gold-gilt bronze Buddhas, horn sculpture and more from prominent local collections and estate sales. The auction will start at 1 p.m. Eastern time. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers. No additional buyer’s premium will be charged for bidding online.

An exquisite item included in this auction is a vintage set of red copper seals, all of which are topped with a divine beast and accented with gilt gold (above). The beasts take different poses, all of which are on display when the seals are held in their ornate base (est. $10,000-$15,000).

One-hundred percent natural Hetian jade hand-carved items form an essential, beautiful sector of this auction, such as the stunning Hetian jade lucky beast statues (below).

Some items are beautiful sets including fierce beasts taking identical poses while showcasing beautiful variation in color. Another item is a beautiful Qing dynasty Hetian jade vase (est. $40,000-$50,000). This tall, slender vase (below) features intricate openwork handles and finely carved low relief scrolling details around the outside. The piece also comes with an equally beautiful lid.

This auction also features some expertly crafted bronze pieces, many of which wear gilt gold accenting. Other pieces, such as the gorgeous Hetian jade incense tube (est. $9,000-$12,000), feature gilt gold accents. The tube is supported by a fantastically ornate gold wire and inlaid enamel base. A matching piece with hanging gold chains caps the other end.

One of the fantastic ox horn pieces is the Chinese ox horn elephant heads double ears pot that bears a Xuande mark (est. $7,000-$8,000).
