Renoir study leads Hindman fine art sale May 20

CHICAGO – Hindman’s will off more than 100 lots of American and European Art on Wednesday, May 20, starting at 10 a.m. Central time/11 a.m. Eastern. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.
Hindman’s American and European Art auction will feature notable highlights by artists such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Karl Albert Buehr, Max Weber and Joan Miro.
The expected top lot is a watercolor by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Etude pour La Bergere, La Vache, La Brebis (above), circa 1885, which should sell for more than $70,000.

– Lot 63, Karl Albert Buehr’s Sisterly Advice (below), circa 1913, oil on canvas, 60 x 50 inches. Estimate: $40,000-$60,000.
