TAMPA, Fla. – Richard Stedman Estate Services LLC is an estate-buying firm founded in 1957 that began conducting cataloged fine arts auctions in 1996 in upstate New York. A year later R.V. Stedman, son of founders Richard and Joyce Stedman, presented the company’s first online-only. The company became a LiveAuctioneers seller in 2014. For their third auction on LiveAuctioneers the Stedmans have consolidated all New York and Nevada operations in Tampa Bay, joining their existing estate sale company at their St. Petersburg art and design warehouse. The online-only auction will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at noon Eastern. Exclusively hosted by LiveAuctioneers, it will be a timed event featuring both advance and real-time bidding.

The boutique sale consists of 68 lots that showcase the breadth of material the second-generation firm encounters during their estate settlement activities.

The best part of their company’s timed, online-only sales from a buyer’s perspective according to R.V. Stedman is that they feature no reserves above the starting bid, which is for this sale half of the low estimate. Bidders are encouraged to sign up early and advance bid at any time prior to the auction going live on Oct. 1. The auction will be fast-paced, moving typically at 45 seconds per lot.
