“When my brother Billy and I conceived of a new auction house in the city, nearly five years ago, we wholly intended it to be an all-seasons enterprise,” said co-owner Robert Roland. “This month we are offering close to 1,000 lots,” Roland continued, “that reflect the unique breadth and scope of estate collections that can only be found in the metropolitan New York City area. Summertime is typically a slow period for most regional auction houses and many either scale back or halt their operations entirely until the fall. Our strategy from the outset has been to take advantage of this lull and present to the marketplace some of the best merchandise to be found from our sources both nationally and internationally.”
