NEW YORK – Roland Auctions NY announces its January 2016 auction to be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, commencing at 10 a.m. sharp.

At the conclusion of their company’s fifth anniversary year the co-founders (and brothers) William J. and Robert Roland thank the hundreds of happy consignors and thousands of bidders across the globe who gave them the opportunity to sell over 50,000 lots from the salesroom at their Greenwich Village gallery.

Planning for 2016 has produced an even busier auction calendar that will include the timely sale of presidential, numismatic and philately collections from the East Hampton Estate of Dr. Alan York. Other upcoming events in the company’s expanded program will feature additional specialty and single-owner collections that will double the number of sales over previous years.

The January 2016 Auction contains a multitude of specimens from objets d’art to luxury items of the first order dispersed throughout nearly 800 lots.

The contents of this month’s auction represent selections gathered and assembled from choice estates throughout Manhattan and the metropolitan area spanning the upper east side to the Hamptons.

Absentee and real time online bidding will be provided by LiveAuctioneers.com.

Modern and contemporary design has a stronger than usual representation with pieces by celebrated designers: K.E.M. Weber, Ed Wormley, Milo Baughman, Karl Springer (below), T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings, Paul McCobb and Frank Gehry.
