NEW YORK – On Saturday, Sept. 16, Roland Auctions NY will present an impressive single-day sale of nearly 1,000 lots. Featured in this sale are several dozen selections from the Greenwich, Connecticut, estate of a former U.S. Army combat surgeon and Purple Heart recipient. Exceptional objects include Chinese antiques, Chinese Cultural Revolution sculptures, European porcelain, fine art by 20th-century modern masters and much more. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

Roland Auctions Owners William and Robert Roland found it necessary to add new collecting themes to September’s blockbuster auction lineup. These specialty sections feature Fluxus and outsider art, Western saddles (parade, show, ranch and roper examples), Chinese Cultural Revolution and Soviet Propaganda sculptures, ocean liners – including an Ile de France tea service (above) – and a huge offering of 20th century Modernism.

Together with Roland’s established flagship themes, Saturday’s offering contains a multitude of specimens from objets d’art to luxury items dispersed throughout an all-day, morning to evening, sale.
