GLEN COVE, N.Y. – Roland Auctions NY is presenting a two-day auction event featuring the collection of prominent Southampton, New York antiques dealer Jay Waldmann, whose shop Waldmann Jewelry and Antiques graced Main Street in Southampton Village for more than years, on Friday, November 5 and Saturday, November 6, starting at 10 am Eastern time. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

Waldmann’s was the premiere dealer in the Hamptons, specializing in 18th and 19th century fine paintings, decorative arts, silver and estate quality jewelry. After being a Hamptons mainstay since 1998, Jay Waldmann just recently sold the building in Southampton and is now offering his exquisite collection for the first time at auction.

He began to summer in Southampton and later opened the shop there, open mainly in the summer months, offering world-class antiques, fine art and decorative items to a very high-end clientele.

As his antiques business developed, he focused more and more on jewelry, becoming known for offering the finest pieces from Buccellati, Van Cleef & Arpels and other top jewelers in Europe. While none of his jewelry will appear in this auction at Roland, Jay Waldmann’s superb taste is evident in this highly-curated collection of antiques, silver, bronze, fine art and other decorative items.
