NEW YORK – On October 22 and 23, the Salmagundi Club presents one of its most anticipated and historic events, its Fall Auction. In the year that marks its 150th anniversary, the club presents more than 175 works of art by current Salmagundi members in all media, which will be auctioned along with pieces from the Salmagundi Collection. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

Participants will be part of the oldest continuous art auction in New York City. Each sale helps to support a historic club and a New York treasure that boasts among its past members such luminaries as Louis Comfort Tiffany, Childe Hassam, William Merritt Chase, Howard Pyle, N.C. Wyeth, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Norman Rockwell and Guy Wiggins. According to Salmagundi Chairman of the Board Nicholas Dawes, “Salmagundi hosts the oldest continuous art auction in the country. I am proud and honored to be part of this historic continuum.”
