The 279-lot selection features many stunning designs featuring coveted antique diamonds. Lot 365, a 1920s Art Deco bracelet, dazzles with its array of 15 old mine-cut and 160 rose-cut white diamonds totaling 5.25 carats. The platinum-topped 18K gold bracelet is tastefully accented with 40 half-moon-shape natural blue sapphires weighing approximately .80 carats. An exquisite production, this fine-jewelry highlight is estimated at $9,000-$11,000.
Diamonds are also the focus for Lot 251, a superb Edwardian-style platinum heart-shape pendant on a 16-inch chain. The pendant is set with 107 sparkling single-cut diamonds of G-H-I color, VS to I clarity, and weighing approximately 1.40 carats. At the center is a natural Ceylon blue sapphire weighing approximately 1.30 carats. The pear-shape sapphire is of very fine quality, with intense color. The auction estimate is $3,500-$4,000.
