NEW YORK – Whether you’re looking for a classic diamond tennis bracelet, a head-turning emerald necklace or an antique heirloom, you’ll find it in Jasper52’s Antique to Modern Jewelry auction on Tuesday, September 4. Bid absentee now or live online on auction day exclusively through LiveAuctioneers.
The 279-lot selection features many stunning designs featuring coveted antique diamonds. Lot 365, a 1920s Art Deco bracelet, dazzles with its array of 15 old mine-cut and 160 rose-cut white diamonds totaling 5.25 carats. The platinum-topped 18K gold bracelet is tastefully accented with 40 half-moon-shape natural blue sapphires weighing approximately .80 carats. An exquisite production, this fine-jewelry highlight is estimated at $9,000-$11,000.
Diamonds are also the focus for Lot 251, a superb Edwardian-style platinum heart-shape pendant on a 16-inch chain. The pendant is set with 107 sparkling single-cut diamonds of G-H-I color, VS to I clarity, and weighing approximately 1.40 carats. At the center is a natural Ceylon blue sapphire weighing approximately 1.30 carats. The pear-shape sapphire is of very fine quality, with intense color. The auction estimate is $3,500-$4,000.
Effortlessly chic, Lot 15 is a 4.5cm necklace of 18K white gold with F-G color, VS-SI brilliant-cut diamonds. In all, the diamonds weigh approximately 5.00 carats. It’s the sort of necklace one might imagine Audrey Hepburn wearing in one of her immortal film roles. Estimate: $9,000-$11,000
A lovely match for the above necklace is Lot 13, an 18K white gold tennis bracelet set with brilliant-cut diamonds weighing 1.50 carats in total. The diamonds are F-G color. A winning auction bid in the vicinity of $2,000-$2,500 is expected.
A nicely varied selection of rings will be offered, including a certified 18K rose gold ring with a 1.8 carat pink tourmaline and accent diamonds. Its pre-sale estimate is $300-$350.
A solitaire band that was made in the 1970s from 18K gold is suitable for both men and women. The ring is set with a single brilliant-cut diamond of H color and VS2 clarity, weighing .42 carats. The gold is bright and shiny, and the diamond is of outstanding quality. Estimate: $700-$800
