Showrooms at 2220 teams with Max ID NY in Nov. 18 design sale
PHILADELPHIA – For the first time, designer Maximilian Eicke is offering his coveted Max ID NY furniture designs through a once-a-decade sample sale auction through Showrooms at 2220, a subsidiary of Kamelot Auction House. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.
A portion of proceeds from this sale will benefit the Black Artists + Designers Guild (BADG), whose mission is to build a more equitable and inclusive creative culture by advancing a community of independent Black artists, makers, and designers in creative industries. The monetary donation will be made to the BADG Mission Fund, which provides unrestricted financial resources to support BADG’s day-to-day operations, providing infrastructure and support services that are vital to members’ success.
The sample sale coincides with Max ID NY’s 10 year anniversary and the launch of the Max ID NY online shop during this month of November. Since the founding of Max ID NY in 2009, the company has, over the past decade, been amassing a large inventory of their designs that have been used in their own showrooms and fairs, loaned out to designers for showhouses, staging and photoshoots. These products are available through an online auction on liveauctioneers.com in collaboration with Showrooms 2220, a new partnership of Max ID NY’s, with whom Maximilian will be working closely to launch his online shop as well, including his collection of art and antiques. The offerings include 100+ lots, ranging from side tables, dining chairs, and dining tables to outdoor lounge chairs and office desks.
Sample sale products are available through an online auction on liveauctioneers.com. Items in the sample sale can be bid on now through Wednesday, Nov. 18. The live auction portion of the sale will take place Nov. 18 starting at 11 a.m. EST.
