BIRMINGHAM, England – Silverstone Auctions has now released the catalog for its final auction of the year, Nov. 15-16, at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show. The sale is set to be its biggest ever with over 350 lots on offer including classic cars, automobilia and a lifestyle collection. LiveAuctioneers.com will provide Internet live bidding.

This year’s eclectic sale contains over 100 road-going classics and modern sports cars, spanning some 80 years. They range from timeless GTs and hot hatches to iconic sports cars driven by world-famous legends.

“The auction at the NEC is certainly our biggest and promises to be one of our most exciting yet. We’re proud to be offering some fantastic models to bidders at one of the best shows of the year,” said Nick Whale, managing director of Silverstone Auctions.

One of the stars of the sale will surely be a 1970 IKA Torino 380S, owned by F1 legend Juan Manuel Fangio, offered without reserve. Other highlights include a 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, once owned by Cosworth co-founder Mike Costin, estimated at between £25,000 to £30,000 and a garage find 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S MkI, discovered in Aberdeen after over 30 years, offered with no reserve.

For those looking to celebrate the centenary year of Aston Martin, four examples from Britain’s coolest marque are offered including a 1965 DB5 Saloon, presented in the famous Silver Birch color, estimated at between £280,000 to £310,000 and a 1958 DB2/4 MK III, owned by the same family for 55 years, estimated at between £150,000 to 170,000.

Also included in the sale is a fine array of automobilia, including an original Ayrton Senna race suit from 1989, estimated at between £10,000 to £15,000, along with a lifestyle collection consisting of fine wines, leather goods and a significant range of varied and rare watches.

Whale added: “There’s no better way to top off the year than by hosting our biggest auction ever and there truly is a classic for all tastes on offer.”
