Soho Arts sale features Qing warrior robe Nov. 16
NEW YORK – Soho Arts Auction has sourced a wide range of Asian collectibles in embroidery, jade, porcelain, zisha, lacquer, stone and bamboo for their auction Nov. 16, beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.com.
In time for holiday gift-giving, the sale consists of more than 200 selected Asian antiques.
Among the highlights is a satin warrior robe that has embroidered confronting dragons on the padded front waistband. This Qing dynasty robe (above) is expected to sell for $3,000-$4,000.
The auction will begin with a small selection of snuff bottles including an unusual conjoined double bottle of glass crystal (below). This inside-painted bottle is estimated at $1,000-$1,500.

Ceramics will include a blue and white floral scroll blask bianhu (below) with drangon dear loop handles, which is estimated at $4,000-$6,000.

Works of art dating from Neolithic time to Republic Period from private estates and collections are included in the sale.
