DALLAS — Dallas Auction Gallery will be offering a selection of contemporary art from the TXU Corporate Art Collection at auction November 17. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

The auction also features fine and decorative art from estates across Texas, including estate jewelry; sterling silver flatware; a large selection of antique flow blue china; several antique gold cased pocket watches; a total of 100 pieces of Rookwood pottery; paintings by Stanley Boxer, Elaine Firstenberg Cohen, Jim Wilcox, Helen Pashgian, Harold Gregor, Tom Lieber, Jim Woodson, Margaret Putnam and Robert Wood; Marc Chagall lithographs; four Pablo Picasso etchings; and an array of Chinese porcelains, snuff bottles, cloisonne and bronzes.

All items in the collection will be on display at Dallas Auction Gallery starting Monday November 15, ahead of the auction on November 17.

Leading the sale will be 51 lots of fine art from the Dallas, Texas headquarters of TXU Energy. these works were formerly part of the Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) Corporate Art Collection.

Chief among them is a group of 102 signed and numbered serigraphs by Sol LeWitt from the 1981 series Lines in Two Directions and in Five Colors with All Their Combinations. This vibrant Sol LeWitt group carries an estimate of $10,000-$15,000.

Carrying the same estimate as the Sol LeWitt group is a circa 1634 etching by Rembrandt van Rijn, Self Portrait with Sabre.
