PHILADELPHIA – Kamelot Auctions will open the spring auction season with their annual garden and architectural antiques auction. The sale will take place on Saturday, May 7, starting at 10 a.m. Eastern. With over 600 lots, the sale will feature impressive collections of statuary, fountains, architectural elements, ironwork, outdoor furnishings and fixtures.

Prospective buyers will be tempted by the variety of statuary that Kamelot has compiled in this sale, just some of which will include several lots featuring beautifully carved lions. Lot 429 is a monumental pair of carved Rosa Verona marble recumbent lions (above) having detailed manes and real stature and is estimated at $25,000-$35,000.
Architectural elements will also be featured in the sale including a pair of painted and leaded glass windows (below), circa 1920 (lots 606 and 607, est. $800-$1,200), a good Art Nouveau glazed terra-cotta architectural frieze of a young woman (lot 21 est. $2,500-$4,000) and seven pairs of Neoclassical entry/street lights removed from the grounds of the Brooklyn Museum, each estimated at $2,500-$3,500 (lots 489-495).
