Superheroes prevail in Jasper52 comic book auction Nov. 1
NEW YORK – Action heroes and diabolical villains are featured in a Jasper52 comic book auction on auction Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 31-Nov. 1. These no-reserve auctions consist of more than 400 vintage comic books. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.
Sunday’s session has more than 100 issues of Avengers starting with #15.
Iron Man is featured on Tales of Suspense #57, which also has the first appearance of Hawkeye (below).
On the DC Comics side, Aquaman is pitted against supervillain Black Manta for the first time is issue #35.
Also from DC Comics is Batman #113, which has the Dark Knight gaining superpowers on Planet X.
The Six Million Dollar Man was a popular TV show that debuted on NBC in 1974. It was an hour-long science-fiction and action series about Col. Steve Austin (Lee Majors), an astronaut who gains superhuman strength after receiving bionic implants. Charlton Comics published The Six Million Dollar Man comic books in June 1976. Offered in the auction are two issues of The Six Million Dollar Man.
The Jasper52 No Reserve Rare Comics Day 2 will take place Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 31-Nov. 1 starting at 8 p.m. both days.
