“We are honored to present a wide variety of fine Tiffany Studios lamps, from floral compositions like the Oriental Poppy and the Dogwood, to designer Clara Driscoll’s classic Dragonfly design, to two distinctive Geometric examples,” Robinson said. “Altogether the auction boasts more than 75 Tiffany Studios lots that demonstrate the astounding breadth of the firm’s production, including glass, pottery, metalware and mosaic.”
The spectacular Oriental Poppy lamp carries an estimate of $100,000-$150,000 and is among eight Tiffany Studios leaded glass lamps that will cross the auction block October 28.
Other Tiffany Studios highlights include a leaded glass and patinated bronze Dragonfly table lamp, dating to circa 1910 and estimated at $70,000-$90,000, and also a reactive Favrile glass Tel El Amarna paperweight vase, dating to circa 1910 and estimated at $6,000-$8,000.
