ASTI, Italy – Nova Ars will present an interesting design collection of 20th century decorative arts in an online auction June 7. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.com.
The lineup of more than 100 lots includes furniture, ceramics, glass, lamps and chandeliers. Many of the items were designed and made in Italy, from Ettore Sottsass and Joe Colombo to Angelo Mangiarotti and Osvaldo Borsani.
An important presence of lighting characterizes the auction, with Italian hanging lamps and chandeliers. A fine example is a pair of wall lamps by Fontana Arte (below), which has an estimate of 1,200-1,500 euros.
Furniture will include an Ico Parisi desk by Mim and a Mario Bellini eight-piece Le Bambole sectional (below) by B&B.
Lot 45, a 90-inch-high engraved wall mirror by Pierluigi Colli is another standout in the auction.
